This video of one of the most devastating tornados of the decade has some of the best footage I have ever seen. The stories from the people affected by this storm were touching and heartbreaking all at the same time. Jeff and Kathryn did an AMAZING job! Just finished the DVD!!!!! 

Best storm chase video that I have ever seen. There were parts where I had to sit back and take a deep breathe. Jeff & Kathryn did a fantastic job documenting this storm. While they were driving down 20th Street I almost felt like I was riding in the truck with them. So emotional listening to y'all talk about what happened. Keep up the great work.

On May 22, 2011 the unthinkable happened…an EF-5, 3/4 to 1 mile wide tornado developed within seconds and tore through the heart of Joplin Missouri.  Leaving in its wake complete and total destruction.  The Joplin EF-5 ranks as the 7th deadliest tornado in U.S. history and most like will be the costliest.

Legendary and Emmy Award winning Storm Chaser Jeff Piotrowski and Published Photographer/Storm Chaser Kathryn Piotrowski captured every stunning, heart gripping moment in HD from two camera perspectives.  This footage is "the best tornado footage you will ever see" shot at incredibly close range from inside the wrap around of the tornado and within blocks of the violent core…flying debris pelting their chase vehicle "The War Horse".

With debris still falling all around them and the deafening roar of the tornado slowly fading, Jeff and Kathryn Piotrowski went into search and rescue mode…they were the first to arrive on Iowa St., which took a direct hit from the core of the EF-5.  Jeff began pulling people from the rubble and Kathryn pulled large, twisted metal beam debris out of the road for rescuers and emergency personnel to gain access.

Survivors, Amber Munson, Ryan Tackett, Mark Lindquist as told by his sister Linda Lindquist-Baldwin, Lucian Myers and Judy Owens-Lowe share their unique stories of survival and courage.

Joplin begins immediate recovery with the help of thousands of volunteers and The Spirit of Joplin thrives as they begin to rebuild their beautiful community.  True Heroes live in Joplin, they wear the badge of honor proudly that says…I AM JOPLIN!
