May 21, 2007 Panhandle, TX to West of Perryton, TX
We overnighted in Amarillo, TX and about 2:00 pm started
jogging West out of Amarillo the models were "all over the place" with the
precipitation. Also the SPC dropped the tornado risk throughout the day
from 5% to 2% and then to nothing. So when storms popped to our Northwest
we were happy to see them. The storms were 'striking' against the green/to
golden wheat fields.

Just want to mention we stopped in Panhandle, TX at their local library to look at some data. When the librarians found out we were storm chasers they were "thrilled" to see us. They were wondering when the storm chasers would start coming through their area. Thank you to Mary, Terri, Janie and Alice for being so helpful in helping me gather some information on Panhandle, TX and for being so enthusiastic to see us!
